IneffableLighting was working with a well-established US digital marketing agency; while they were seeing solid results with Google Ads, IneffableLighting was not pleased with their previous PPC agency’s level of communication. They were referred to us by a friend who, until this day, is our client. During our onboarding process, each client gets access to a live Slack channel, where we communicate way more efficiently through chat in comparison to practices in most agencies – communication through e-mail messages.

IneffableLighting is a US retailer of various home and office lamps and porcelain decorations. In this niche, the competition (such as Amazon and Ikea)  has much higher advertising budgets.

The main goals set at the beginning of the cooperation were:

  • Identifying and correcting conversion tracking issues
  • Improving Shopping Campaign structure with products segmentation
  • Testing new products with additional target markets outside the US

Conversion tracking issues

Google Ads wasn’t reporting some sales properly, despite having all tracking codes installed in the right places on the website. The solution was implementing enhanced conversion tracking that allowed us to record 8% more conversions that were previously getting lost.

Scaling Shopping Ads

The previous agency relied mostly on Smart Shopping Campaigns, which were generating decent results, but we wanted to increase the current revenue. In order to do that, we launched 2 additional Standard Shopping campaigns for products with a lower margin so that we could control the bidding and decrease the cost per click, remaining the same or generating even higher conversion value.

Reaching new markets

Great results and proven strategy allowed us to test the potential for additional sales outside the United States. Our client agreed to launch a duplicated set of campaigns for the UK, which worked exceptionally well, generating additional thousands of dollars with a profitable 4.3x ROAS. With multi-level re-marketing campaigns, we were able to hit 5.21 Return On Ad Spend in March, making that month an all-time high for that Google Account.

Results

After 5 months since the client started working with us:

  • 286% increase in the number of clicks
  • CPC increased by 11% but
  • With a 134% increase in ad cost we generated 289% more transactions and 164% more revenue (ROAS increased by 86% to 5,21x)
